Rape - Legal Definition [Sexual Offences Act 2003]
Legal definition of "Rape" in all three jurisdictions of the UK under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. Definitions of "Rape" vary in different countries especially state-by-state in the US but in the UK, it is defined as act act perpetrated with definitively male genitalia. The fears are that i) a male transwoman or a male sexual offender - just for a larf - will ask of a court that an individual they sexually offended against to use female pronouns or ii) may suggest that the law is framed in transphobic terms and that a laydeedick is not covered by the act. Not every rape complainant is going to have a copy of the Perjury Act 2011 in her/his pocket, however it is reproduced here for easy downloading before any court appearance.
The Perjury Act 1911, makes it absolutely clear that included in the definition are statements material in legal proceedings, which s/he knows to be false or does not believe to be true.
